Eduardo Madera (Founder of Kingdom Flow)

I was born in Brooklyn, New York, in 1974—the first American-born son of Dominican immigrant parents. I grew up in the city with a love for baseball, faith, and family. As a young boy, I served as an altar boy at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. My walk with God started early, but it hasn’t been without detours.

In my teenage years, my household’s faith shifted when my mother joined a new religious path. I stepped away from the church, but I never let go of my belief in God. Over time, I realized you don’t need a building to hear His voice—you need a willing heart.

I moved to Pennsylvania in 1994, became a father at a young age, and tried to balance college and work. But like many, I made choices that led me down a dark road. Gambling debts and poor decisions landed me in prison for robbery. My pride got the best of me—and I paid for it with six years in federal time.

But that time turned into a transformation. Behind those walls, God met me. He humbled me. He showed me that real strength comes from surrender. I began making every decision based on how He would view it—not the world.

After prison, I reunited with my oldest daughter and began rebuilding. I eventually married, had another daughter, and worked to create a stable, loving home. Then, unexpectedly, my wife passed away just one week before our 10-year anniversary. I’ve been raising my daughter on my own ever since. She’s now preparing to graduate high school and begin college, and I couldn’t be prouder of the woman she’s becoming.

My journey hasn’t been perfect. I’ve stumbled along the way—even returned to prison during my marriage due to decisions I made out of desperation. But today, I’ve turned the page. I’ve left the streets behind. I’ve committed my life fully to Christ. I work hard, stay grounded, and keep walking forward.
